Rumor: Cheney to Resign; Rice as V.P.
After a Washington Post story suggesting that Vice President Dick Cheney’s office is involved in the Plame-CIA investigation, rumors are flying around Washington that Cheney might step aside – and be replaced by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
While that would be a temporary black eye and could cause discomfort in 2006, if true, it would be a masterful move. Dare I say, Bush the dumbie, outfoxes the libs. In such a chess move, Condi gets VP experience and gets momentum for 2008. Cheney takes a hit, like Spiro Agnew (minus the tax evasion), but in the long run the GOP and conservatives could prevail if not advance.....
"If that should happen, there will undoubtedly be those who believe the whole thing was orchestrated – another brilliant Machiavellian move by the VP,” a White House insider told Paul Bedard of U.S. News & World Report.
And of course certain bloggers, Talk Radio, and the lovely trolls that frequent here, will allege that Cheney and company took a fall, and this was rigged. Well, IF TRUE, if not a rumor, then you fell for it you twerps! Ahahahahahha! No, should be mature. Oh wait, Ahaahahahhahaha! It would also be an act of sacrifice for Cheney. Maybe not, since he's retiring from DC after 2008. Sec Def, US Senator, President of Halliburton, that's a long arduous road. If Cheney steps down and can rest, he's earned it.....
Some observers are whispering that the driving force behind the Rice-for-Cheney scenario is political pundit Dick Morris’ new book "Condi vs. Hillary: The Next Great Presidential Race.”
In the book, Morris and co-author Eileen McGann warn that Hillary Clinton will be the next president of the U.S. unless she can be stopped.
Well, that would be true if the public was gullible enough to buy into Hillary the moderate. Come on folks, COMMANDER IN CHIEF, the ABC TV Drama with Geena Davis, is closer to reality than Hillary getting into office. Here are a few reasons why:
1. Hillary's voting record- she was for the war, in vote. Then spoke against it. She voted against tax cuts, which many in the US did not mind at all. Hillary has done little for the state of New York. Need we go on with this Junio Senator's abyssmal career?
2. Hillary's legacy from the Clinton Years- Yes she was First Lady, however her implications with Whitewater, Travelgate, Zippergate, and other activities would be tough to shake. If Hillary got into a character debate, there would be ammo applenty to lob her way. And one big bomb, her husband President Bill Clinton. A man who PERJURED and was IMPEACHED by teh House. The second President to face House Impeachment and dodge the Senate kill votes.
3. Hillary's demeanor- Not so genuine, a cold fish, shrill, and in fact Bill Clinton was the main reason why she'd get any attention. Hillary is also less than cordial with some. Meryl Streep played her role perfectly in THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE remake.
4. Social Stances- While many Americans are split on Abortion, Gay Marriage, and other issues. Hillary has tried to have it both ways. Other would be candidates voted for funds before voting against them. Can Hillary muster more than sweet talk? Kerry tried and failed. Can the DNC survive round 2 or the final K-O Punch?
And Condoleezza Rice, they say, is the only Republican who can win the GOP nomination, beat Hillary and hold on to the White House for the GOP.
A move now to elevate Condoleezza to the vice president’s position would better prime her for a run against Hillary in 2008.
Again, if true, it would be a decisive move. Like the rumors and info on Tom DeLay, Karl Rove, and even the future of Iraq, let us wait and see....

Yes earned it. Let's see 40 years in public service. Chief of Staff to Ford, aide to Nixon, Senator from Wyoming, Secretary of Defense, CEO of Halliburton, and Vice President. YEah, he's earned a rest.
Someone's a Bush basher and needs to admit it.
Someone's a liberal and needs to accept it.
Someone's favorite party will lose in 2006 and will keep their downward spiral since losing in 1994, 1998, 2000, 2002, and 2004.
