Roberts Feeding Frenzy

Alright, you all knew this was coming. Justice John Roberts confirmation stakes are now up, since President Bush is nominating him as Chief Justice of The Supreme Court.

What you will not see, unless you watch CSPAN or Fox News, is the sniping.

Joe Biden is accusing Roberts of being a misleading man, and more or less called him a liar. Biden is angry and frustrated, since Roberts is keeping his cool.

Ted Kennedy lectured on the US keeping its head above water. That's rich from Cappy Chappy. Where did Mary Jo go again, Ted? Oh right, in the drink right off Martha's Vineyard. Only took 4-8 hours to get the cops to save her, too late of course.

Patrick Leahy is whining on again and again. Leaky Leahy is worried someone will leak info on him at somepoint.....

Dick(head) Durbin is sitting there quiet, docile, quiet, but this troop basher will strike. Like any good vulture should.

Now, as I recall the only ones who got bashed during confirmation hearins were Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. Funny how Republicans get bashed and get the good cop bad cop treatment.

However, Judges Ruth Bader Gindsberg and David Souter did not get the treatment. They got ushered in. Funny how liberals get nice treatment, and it helps when Democrats love the guy.

Well, expect Roberts to get in, but expect the vote to be highly partisan and the questions to get very very personal, and the rhetoric and tone to be something worthy of the Stalinist Purge Trials or even Nazi Judge Roland Freisler screeching at anti-Nazis.......

Well, the war is on, let's see how this goes.....
