NOW THIS IS LOW.....

I don't care whether you are for or against the war, this crap is low. Our wounded and maimed veterans are now going to be picketed. Yes, anti-war POS protestors are going to picket Walter Reed Army Medical Center in DC.

I take issue and extreme prejudice with this:

1. These wounded troops sustained their wounds so these ingrates can live and whine and contribute nothing to society. SCREW THESE SO CALLED COMPASSIONATE LIBERALS.

2. These protestors never served in a job, let alone their country. They have no place insulting men and women wounded in battle, when they'd be the first to jump ship and high tail it to Canada. BITE ME.

3. Real cowards is what these protestors are. Real big men protesting amputees and post traumatic stress syndrome sufferers. Take on a group of well and healthy troops and see how fast you get your asses kicked. GO TO F---ING HELL!

4. Veterans from past wars are there. I bet the old guys from WWII and Korea are pained seeing a generation of ingrates, and no doubt may just choose to die rather than see the miserable state this country is going towards. Thanks liberals, for euthanizing our vets. BASTARDS. Although, I imagine some of the more verile and older guys would crutch or walker their way over and kick some long-hair's ass. Go for it gramps! Knock them out!

Defend these asses all you want. I know certain trolls and posters will not have the guts address the sickening nature of the protestors. Instead, they will try to sidetrack and hijack the topic. Don't post here. I will erase your troop bashing crap right here.

I am a liberal and against the war. Picketing the hospital is disgraceful. We should all be very proud of our soldiers. My brother did 2 combat tours in 'Nam and is decorated for it... he was spat upon when returning! I really can't understand this kind of behavior. Plus we can't just leave Iraq, now that we are in this mess.

Anyone that looks at what's going on knows that we invaded Iraq as part of the Project for a New American Century.... since the neo-cons were going to do it anyway it required some window dressing, or lying, if you will, to justify it.
It is not a bad idea conceptually... I just don't think it is the "right" thing to do... and I don't think it will work... Hope I'm wrong at this point because we are already there.

The Bush presidency is the worst in the history of our nation - idiots! But... I'm truly sorry such fools would choose our military hospital to picket - biggest idiots on the planet!

Anyone picketing veterans: STOP IT YOU TASTELESS FOOLS - IT MAKES NO ONE TAKE YOUR SIDE. (picketers probably wouldn't be on this blog)

Sorry they are doing that S#&%, I wish I could stop them.

I entirely agree. It is rather disgraceful.

I would like to say, however, that doesn't it make you ask yourself what freedom we are supposedly fighting for over in Iraq?

What I mean is, whilst I disagree with the protestors poor taste entirely, shouldn't they still be allowed to do it? Isn't that what the freedom is?

If it's not, then why fight for freedom in the first place if you can't express it once you supposedly have it?

    DC, here here.

Lara, we'll agree to disagree, but yes picketing our troops is a disgrace. Too bad, you think Iraq is a quick fix we should just ditch.

Kevin, no one said democracy was perfect. Iraq is drawing up its first REAL CONSTITUTION. Something that I recall took postwar Germany, Japan, and other countries about 10 years to do..... ADD is all too common with the so-called independenet middle of the roaders, aka liberals. Focus, please.

Ahh yes -- Iraq's first "REAL CONSTITUTION".

What a treat that will be. I particularly like how our President keeps referring to this constitution as some sort of significant milestone in the war.

Do you think for a second that when (if) they sign this constitution things will just clear up and get better?

WTF cares about the constitution? I'm not suggesting it's not great for the Iraqis, but it has absolutely no bearing on ANYTHING having to do with our troops nor this war.

Also I'm wondering what the hell your response to me had to do with what I wrote??

I said what's the point of having freedom if you can't use it?

To which you wrote: 'noone said democracy was perfect...'

Does that mean that you agree with me?

...that the people SHOULD get to express themselves however they want to, but because democracy is not perfect, this could be an exception to the rule?

    Great rant.
These protesters are giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
    They are traitors.
They should be executed (after due process, of course!).
