Priscilla Owen Confirmed At High Price

OK, finally, after 4 years, US 5th Circuit Court Judge nominee Priscilla Owen will get her up or down vote. No doubt, she will get confirmed. However, at what price?

First, Owen has been maligned and rumored to be an extremist. Wow, she's a Christian and pro-life, that's sooooo far out of the mainstream. Yeah, if you're the NY Times. Despite Owen's record and jurisprudence, the likes of Ted Kennedy and Barbara Boxer called her a NEANDERTHAL and AN EXTREMIST. The drunk and the old witch need to shut it. However, Owen has made it through.

Second, it cost the majority. Well, maybe not, since they gave up so quick. Now the DNC and liberals have retained the minority privilege to whine and bitch about every nominee that they don't personally like. The Sell-Out 7 may think they saved the Senate, all they did was save backstabbing and other nasty rhetoric. Thanks a heap, McCain.

Third, the process has costed the US people their patience. Many are sick of the whining from Boxer, Chuckie Schumer and the other Communists. More over, the conservatives may jump the GOP ship over this. Why the GOP is not acting like it won the elections is beyond me.

Yeah, Owen is getting confirmed, and the fillibuster was temporarily halted, but at what cost?
