Sheehan: Israel Leave Palestine!

Sheehan is now aligning herself with the terrorists and their allies.....

Sheehan has gone beyond anger, into the abyss, and wants to take others with her.

If this doesn't show her true colors, what will?

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX AUG 14, 2005 08:02:39 ET XXXXX BUSH PROTESTING MOM CALLS FOR 'ISRAEL OUT OF PALESTINE'; VOWS NOT TO PAY TAXESAnti-war protestor Cindy Sheehan, whose soldier son Casey was killed in Iraq, is calling for Bush's "impeachment," and for Israel to get out of Palestine! "You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you'll stop the terrorism," Sheehan declares.

Sheehan, who is asking for a second meeting with President Bush, says defiantly: "My son was killed in 2004. I am not paying my taxes for 2004. You killed my son, George Bush, and I don't owe you a penny...you give my son back and I'll pay my taxes. Come after me (for back taxes) and we'll put this war on trial."

"And now I'm going to use another 'I' word - impeachment - because we cannot have these people pardoned. They need to be tried on war crimes and go to jail." The 48-year-old California mom remains tented up in a ditch along the one-lane road that leads to Bush's Texas ranch. As her protest entered its second week, hundreds of people with conflicting opinions about the war in Iraq descended on the area.

TIME mag reports in new editions on Monday: Sheehan gets support from her surviving son, Andy, in principle, but he recently sent her a long e-mail imploring her, "to come home because you need to support us at home." Developing...

I thought she only cared about the war? Hmm, I guess she's just a parrot for the extreme left.

What true colors does it show?

It's obvious she is emotionally distressed regarding her son -- and thats been clear since day one.

I think if you ever want to have a peaceful blog (as you seemed to want to have a few days ago), you should stop writing such lines as:

"Sheehan is now aligning herself with the terrorists..."

She is in no way doing any such thing by stating that Israel should leave Palestine. There is absolutely NO DOUBT in most minds that US involvement with Isreal and an ongoing multi-decade war between the two creates situation after situation around the world. I don't have an answer as to how to stop that, but I don't think her's needs to be discredited.

And to be fair, regardless of her left or right viewpoint, she lost her son fighting in a war that YOU proudly support. I think you owe her a at least a hint of respect.

She lost any respect when she stopped mentioning her kid, except on cue. Sheehan is using that kid's death, and to quote Glenn Beck, "She's a Tragedy Slut."

And then she started to go on about never paying taxes again b/c she lost her son. That sort of trivializes the sacrifice of millions during WWI, II, Vietnam, Iraq, etc. Somehow her son is worth more than the others who gave sons/daughters/husbands, etc (and sometimes more than one)?

Munchausen By Proxy, that's her brain in a nutshell.

    Nice post, Homer.....

Say what you will, and you may be right, she may be using his name on cue. I doubt it takes away from the heartache a mother feels from losing a son, especially in war.

But all things considered, I think she uses his name to make a hard point. Moreover, that she does not feel it exploits him, but rather dignifies him. If using the loss of her son gets her face time with Bush, gets her message to millions around the world, etc, then I think she should be able to justify the possible exploitation.

...and, in her position, I think its hard to find true fault with that.

Funny, her protest, from her mouth, is about the war, not her son.
