Hillary's Spin Doctors trying to Re-Write History

If you did not recall your history, you'd have forgot that Bill Clinton was impeached by The House. Almost, by the Senate. And was the first ELECTED President to be impeached in either house of Congress. Although, that's not what The NY Daily News writes: http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/8/9/91627.shtml

They are in overdrive to protect their benefactor, Hillary Clinton. The NY Daily News was skeptical of Jeanine Pirro as a threat to Clinton. However, Newsies, if Pirro is no threat, why are you lying and re-writing history? Why are you dredging up crap that her hubby did, that Clinton LIED to America for doing similiary in nature? Why are you derailing her, if Pirro won't register a blip?

Media makes a real good accomplice, huh?

Clinton wasn't impeached? That's like saying Michael Jackson didn't dangle a kid from a balcony. WE SAW BOTH ON TV!

Good blog. I'm so sick of people bashing Bush for taking 5 weeks off for vacation, big deal, I'm a Teamster and I get 5 weeks off a year. My wife works for the phone company and she gets 5 weeks off. And I am sick of the weak support of our troops. The old we support the troops but we don't support the war; that's like saying I support the Cleveland Browns, but I don't want them to win games. Liberals will get us killed.

Hey supergenius: the Senate convicts, it doesn't impeach.

Hey, don't be ashamed; at least you're qualified to work at the Daily News if this whole "blog" thing doesn't work out.

lol. awwww, and I thought Nick WAS a supergenius!!

    Also, to TPK:
'...The old we support the troops but we don't support the war; that's like saying I support the Cleveland Browns, but I don't want them to win games.'

Umm, I think that was the worst analogy I have ever read.

Firstly, if you use that antecedent, then the conclusion would be that you don't want them to PLAY games, instead of not WIN games.

And it's moreso a horrible analogy because I sure as shit hope the conservatives, or anyone for that matter, don't want us to use our troops EVER. Who the fuck says 'HEY, LETS GO TO WAR? =] ' It's expensive, gets people killed, causes civil unrest, etc. I believe the preference is to use our troops when they are deemed necessary.

Hey Genius! Ever hear of Richard Nixon? He got impeached, then resigned.

  • At 6:03 AM, Blogger NDwalters said…

Nixon was not impeached Don Myers, he stepped down first. Impeachment proceedings were drawn up but never put into affect. Get your history straight, which would be the one thing straight about you. Myers, STOP posting here, you troll.

You're as wrong as you are petulant, genius. The House drew up and passed articless of impeachment, and THEN Nixon ran like a scared little girl.

Perhaps you mean that Nixon was convicted by the Senate, which is true.

BTW, Clinton was acquited by the Senate.

    OOPS!

I meant to say that Nixon was NOT convicted by the Senate.

  • At 11:29 AM, Blogger Kevin said…

Yes Nick, he is most certainly correct.

The house DID draw up articles of impeachment for Nixon, tho Nixon resigned and '...avoided the likely prospect of losing the impeachment vote in the full House and a subsequent trial in the Senate.'

Myers, Myers, Myers, there you go twisting and lying about history yet again. Clinton was CONVICTED by the House, and almost CONVICTED by The Senate, were it not for the nice little 55-45 DNC/GOP Split. Now the tables are turned and will make it hard to impeach this President. Also, Clinton was the FIRST elected US President to be fully impeached by the House and be sent to the Senate. Andrew Johnson was the first President to be impeached, but also dodged the Senate vote by one vote. Johnson, FYI, was Lincoln's appointed and sworn in successor. There's your history lesson, Captain Normal.

Petulant, oooh! Nice use of the English Vocabulary, Old Man.

hmm, well I think you messed up a fact or two, but that was pretty accurate.

So, lets rather examine the spirit of things:

Johnson basically undid everything that Lincoln had accomplished (and died for), and as a result, wound up with an impeachment hearing.

Nixon basically committed fraud and theft and as a result...

Clinton basically lied to the public about having sex.

I have to tell you Nick, between the three, I'd rather a president thats getting laid rather than the other two.

  • At 9:01 AM, Blogger NDwalters said…

Kevin, did you see what Clinton laid? I mean, between Hillary, Paul Jones, Jennifer Flowers, and Monica Lewinsky, Bill's gotta thing for the fugly chicks. I mean he swings from that branch all day long!

Also, I've seen Bush's wife and kids. They stack up better. The Bush gals, you cannot deny are hotter than Chelsea. Plus I think one of em could drink the whole Clinton fam under the table. Well, one could match up with Bubba.....

  • At 12:28 PM, Blogger Kevin said…

    lol.

Well you're certainly not wrong. I can't say I agree with Clintons tastes, but to each his own I suppose.

I used to see Jenna around campus from time to time. Parties and whatnot as well, and she is certainly a looker.
