I listened to survivors of the blasts the other day on some talk-radio show. They were children at the time, but each one told of how their entire families were erased from existence. ...not being able to see their faces, much less the ashful remains of their bodies. Most went on to talk of the radioactive handicaps that they would suffer with for the rest of their lives.

I think I can call the radio station and get some of their addresses if you want to send them that postcard.

Just be sure to sign it Nick Walters and include your return address.

Oh I will. I'll send a few to other countries that are in need of a good pounding.

Don't lecture on lives. The Japs took millions of lives out of their bloodlust for conquest.

    Read up on:

    The Rape of Nanking
    Japanese medical experiments
    Bataan Death March
    Pearl Harbor
    Bombing of Singapore.
    Bombing of Shanghai
    POWs and Japanese treatment.

Then lecture how we shouldn't have saved our lives and Allied lives and not given those bastards what they deserved.

Technically we were supposed to nuke Kyoto, but some namby pamby diplomats and politicians said, awww what if that upsets the Japanese.

We razed Dresden, and Germany got over it.

More from Hiroshima: From the ground up, and that's it.

    Hiroshoma: We're smokin!

Hiroshima: Who needs neon we're gonna glow like this for 40,000 years!

Yea you're right, the bomb was a marvelous idea...

...sad that from such brilliant minds can come such wasteful thoughts.

Sad that the Germans turned their technical prowese to Genocide. Japan turned theirs to war, until 1945.

  • At 11:34 PM, Blogger Kevin said…

...sadder that you're so full of hatred.

I think I could actually envision you as the postal worker that just 'snaps'.

  • At 6:29 AM, Blogger NDwalters said…

Nope, nope, not a postal carrier. Try disgruntled day trader.

Not full of hatred, rather seething with rage for people making America out as some genocidal dictatorship. Making out our past necessary decisions as EVIL. And of course, starting in on God being ashamed, when they themselves don't believe in any God but themselves.....

That liberal thinking is more akin to the Nazi ubermensch, and Nietchize dead thought, than the typical American quasi-Christian individualist.

In short: You're on the wrong side of history. Re-read your history, pal.

Day trader?? I thought you sold insurance.

I didn't say ever that America was any sort of dictatorship.

All I pointed out was that you are an asshole. It was obvious from your words, but I wanted to make it obvious to you, since you clearly didn't notice.

Killing hundreds of thousands of people on the drop of a bomb IS EVIL you silly round man! How can you possibly debate that?!?

I'm not even trying to argue its necessity and rather gave you that one. That doesn't take from how horrible it was.

Are you suggesting that there are NOT necessary evils in the world? As it has been said for so long now, how about government? How about war?
