Hotel Fined for Being "Too Patriotic"

Well, the liberals are working overtime to undermine our troops and country. Now, they want business that exhibit any patriotism to be fined. Nice free speech and free business they are for (coughing, BULLCRAP!)

umm, that seems a bit strange.

I have been trying to find more to this article but can not.

I have a really hard time believing that a city would ticket someone for posting a sign for it being 'too patriotic'.

My speculation is that this will be a standard case of some particular area having deed-like restrictions that say you can't post yard signs in front of your house or business. (something common to many areas).

That perhaps being the case, my next line of thought would be that this guy felt since his signs were patriotic, that rule would not apply.

Find me some more on this as I'd like to know.

no no, the link pulled up.

I just have a feeling that there is more to the story than what was written. THATS what I couldn't find any links to.

Regardless, I did some more research on the matter and found this not been the first case of this in Roseland as I had suspected.

From what I can find, there have been numerous tickets/fines issued for people displaying political signs in their yards which is apparently against some ordinance.

I'm pretty certain we weren't allowed to post political signs in our yards growing up (except within X weeks of a state or federal election) due to deed restrictions.

Perhaps the entire property of Roseland is owned by someone and that is what they say in the building codes?
