Jack and CTU are having to clean up their records and make alibis so the Chinese government cannot find the team that abducted Lee from the Chinese consulate. They question Jack, Dessler, Chloe, and demand to talk to Audrey (the grieving widow). They get nowhere. Edgar is tugged aside by the Chinese operative and his alibi crumbles. Now they want to nail Jack......
The President is furious with Palmer for ordering the raid to get Lee and info on Marwan, but Palmer threatens to leave and give the full burden of decisions back to Logan. Logan lets Palmer do his work. The President is more worried about a possible war with China, than over 10 million Americans getting vaporized. What a Douche.
Marwan launches the nuke, but Jack gets him alive. It's Interrogation Time!!!
PREVIEW- Next week Secretary James Heller (William Devane) comes back and is at the helm to stop the warhead, and interrogates his own son, again. Sonny talked to the terrorists before Heller was abducted, the nuclear meltdown, etc........
