Not So Young But Angry Conservatives Unite

Getting sick of the progressively worse slant and obvious bias of the media? Got booted out of other sites for offending too many liberals? Make this your home. If you SPAM here, you're gone. Trolling? Gone. Insult other posters I agree with. Gone. Get the pic. Private sanctum, private rules. No Fairness Doctrine and PC wussiness tolerated here..... Why Does Oscar Suck Now?

Why do the Oscars suck now, and how come most of America does not tune in anymore?

Here's a few theories on why.

1. No good films. The art community likes them, but ticket sales across the US do not make it great. I think 9 people saw Sideways. However, many did see The Aviator and Million Dollar Baby, but there was no Lord of The Rings or Saving Private Ryan to yearn for.

2. TOO POLITICAL- Between Michael Moore's blubbering, Tim Robbins rants, Sean 'Spiccoli' Penn's hammy speeches, Chris Rock's attempt to joke about our dead troops, and just seeing Babs Streisand and other poke political or Christian bashing over the years, no one cares to tune in. If you want your politics, go to CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, or Talk Radio, or even the bloggers. Oscars are supposed to entertain. Shut Up and Present!

3. Hosts- There are no more Bob Hopes, Johnny Carsons, or even David Nivens to deliver class to the Oscars. True funnymen like Steve Martin and Billy Crystal were not booked this year, so we got Chris Rock. Rock, is best a comedian, unrestrained on cable, but last night, waaaay out of his element. Trying not to cuss must have tapped out any 'talent' he had. Steve Martin, we miss you. To Rock's credit, he tried to insult everyone last night. Sean Penn took offense to Jude Law jokes, and probably Tim Robbins is boring jokes.

4. Bad choreography..... Why make a cheesy song, worse? Come on!!!!

5. It's Looooong- 3 hours to give out all of the Awards. They do minor Oscars and then work to the big one. Why not do the smaller awards the night or week before? Sheesh.
