PARALLELS: IRAN AND ISRAEL

Israel- bad for daring invade Lebanon to stop terrorists from making incursions into their country from there. How dare they defend themselves.....

Iran- buying and building nuclear weapons, these aren't gonna be used for power plants, see Iraq's Osirik Reactor........ Iran is fine though.

Israel- UN condemns them for wars in 1982, and 2006. Threatens sanctions.

Iran- UN passes resoultions that do no good. Threaten very little.

Israel- backs US in War on Terror, probably more vigilant than we are. Hell, the US has forgotten 9/11 and probably doesn't care anymore.

Iran- backs Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Hamas, possibly some Al Qaeda groups. They remember their 1979 Revolution, but conveniently downplay the hundreds of thousands of moderates, intellectuals, doctors, Jews, Christians, and others who died along with the Shah's hated regime. This wasn't regime change, it was reverting a country back to the 7th Century.

Israel- America's top ally in the Middle East, period.

Iran- declares self as America's nightmare and top enemy. Guess someone has to top that swaggering Venezuelan moron Chavez.

Israel- rooted in thousands of years of religion, tradition, turmoil, war, grasping for peace.

Iran- rooted in thousands of years of religion, tradition, turmoil, war, grasping for Israel's throat.

Israel- sent condolences on 9/11, got the Mossad and Shin Bet on alert.

Iran- despite denials, and official condolences, was jumping for joy at the prospect of 3,000 dead. Not just Americans I might add.
