March 18, in the evening, a barking dog was heard. An officer found a dog locked in a kennel without food or water. The officer contacted the dog warden's office. The dog warden's office scheduled a time to remove the animal, where it would be watered and fed. No one knows how long the animal had gone without water or food.
Meanwhile, Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was removed. Terri's feeding tube has been removed twice before in 15 years. U.S. Judge James Whittemore held a hearing three days after Terri's tube was removed. Judge James Whittemore refused to re-insert the feeding tube.
The officer did not walk away and let the dog die. James Whittemore walked away from Terri Schiavo. It was his decision to let her die. It is a terrible thing to watch a mother beg for her daughter's life.
I went to war in the Navy in 1942 and sailed two oceans in an effort to make our country safe. This is not the same country I went to war for.
