China & Japan: Hard Feelings Still Apparent

Japan has been wanting to expand its military in response to the US repositioning its troops from around the world. Japan has also faced an economic rebound. China, the largest nation in Asia and military power is leary of Japan rebuilding it's military.

China wants Japan to admit its past evils before trying to become a military power of sorts. They want guarantees that the Rape of Nanking or Shanghai Massacres will not occur ever again:
